Vickie Recchia
Vickie Recchia has been a fired arts artist for over 34 years. Her love of ceramics began as a hobby when she lived in Southern California. When she moved to Fresno, CA, she combined her love of her art with her career. She began working for Duncan Ceramics (now called iLoveToCreate, a Duncan Enterprises’ company) and now manages the Duncan Ceramic & Craft Supply Store, where she shares her passion and knowledge with ceramists, artists and educators.
As part of her artistic journey, Vickie began experimenting with all the uses for a ceramic kiln, including Fused Glass. After only a few months, she was completely hooked. She now makes time to teach both Ceramics and Fused Glass classes, in between working full time and being the heart of her very active family. Through it all, she still enjoys that moment of artistic discovery, “There is nothing like opening your kiln and finding that spectacular ceramic or glass piece waiting for you.”
